A motorcyclist in his 20s died Thursday following an auto-motorcycle crash in South West Austin, the Austin Police Department confirmed to KVUE.
APD received the call regarding the collision at 5:39 p.m., and responded to the intersection of Silvermine Drive and TX-71. The victim, who police said was not wearing his helmet when he crashed, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The motorcyclists was the only person injured in the crash and treated by EMS.

APD confirmed the victim died at the hospital at 6:09 p.m.
